The know-how acquired by participating in the construction of electric vehicles has allowed SCE to carry out numerous applications in different sectors: with SCE Battery Packs have been electrified, among others, mobile devices for biomedical, logistics, ceramics, for food and beverage, and battery packs for special vehicles operating in the industrial, agricultural and nautical sectors have been assembled.
PASSAGE FROM LEAD ACID BATTERIES TO LITHIUM

A complete lithium and BMS battery system was supplied for an important manufacturer of professional floor cleaning machines, sweepers, scrubbers and street sweepers, replacing the traditional lead-acid batteries with lithium cells.
The customer’s need was to have more autonomy, despite the limited space in which to allocate the batteries. The solution proposed by SCE has made possible to satisfy the request, with a system that is perfect for situations in which the machines are subjected to intensive use (eg rental), with low voltage batteries. The system also allows remote monitoring of the batteries.

For a leading company in the production and design of diagnostic machinery in the medical sector, a complete system of lithium batteries and BMS was supplied for portable digital diagnostic workstations.
The choice of a battery powered system made possible to remove any physical connection with the generator, to make the system completely autonomous. The choice of lithium is a further added value. Thanks to the reduced weight of the cells compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, high mobility and maximum ease of transport within hospital environments is guaranteed, as well as a high autonomy of use without the need of mains power.

There are already several systems developed by SCE for AGV or LGV, automatic guided vehicles usually used for goods handling inside production plants or warehouses. In a sector where the use of machinery is intensive, the autonomy and optimization of battery work is a fundamental element. As for the other sectors, lithium batteries allow greater autonomy, the use of a smaller amount of batteries, shorter charging times and constant monitoring of the state of charge of the batteries. Furthermore, unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries allow charging and recharge micro-cycles.
CHANGE FROM SALT BATTERIES TO LITHIUM ONES

In the electric vehicle sector, SCE has dealt with the replacement of traditional lead acid batteries and also the salt ones, with technologically more advanced and high performance lithium batteries complete with the electronics necessary for management and supervision. Lithium batteries provide greater autonomy, with less space and reduced weight. SCE is also active in the power electronics sector and realizes energy storage systems for self-generation of electricity. Energy storage is carried out using lithium batteries and SCE BMS optimizes its work, always guaranteeing maximum performance of the batteries.
